My Projects - Past, Present, Future

The pattern moves from communications, marketing and technology to the law - my career interest is to harmonize the knowledge I have gained over the years to provide appropriate advice in the fields of my work experience and beyond. The projects are listed in reverse chronological order.

King's College London Pro Bono Society
As the Online Media Specialist for the King's College London Pro Bono Society, I consulted with committee members to create a new web presence for the ever-growing society that gives back to the community through its initiatives in corporate social responsibility and in community service. To further accomplish these goals, I have initiated talks to develop new partnerships with major law firms, aiming to expand the society beyond its current achievements in order to set a standard for our university and its dedication to service.

As a Student Advisor in the Pro Bono Society's Legal Clinic, I am learned how to improve my legal skills through putting them into practice, and I produced solicitor-approved letters of advice for our clients, students at King's College London.
King's College London Law Society
King's College London Law SocietyAs Communications Officer of the King's College London Law Society, my responsibility was to manage professional communications between law firms, the society committee, and aspiring lawyers.

This wasachieved through ensuring appropriate advertising and marketing channels are utilized, such as the official website, where efforts made in sponsorship building become reality, benefiting all stakeholders involved.

The website was created using the Joomla! content management system, utilizing various components, modules, and plugins to represent the professionalism of the Law Society brand.
King's College London Debating Society
For two years as Communications Officer of the King's College London Debating Society, I developed and maintained the society website. I have assisted our committee members through allowing each to post updates onto the website, and I implemented changes as are desired by the committee.
Diskostatic Records - spencerlane, daylight saints
spencerlaneAs Marketing Director of indie record label Diskostatic Records from 2006 to 2007, I focused on marketing through MySpace and PureVolume, and to a lesser degree, Facebook and Bebo. Furthermore, I actively engaged in public relations, both in posting announcements to drive traffic and in regularly communicating with fans to build a fun, entertaining brand.

Using specially designed software (C#, PHP, MySQL), my efforts attained, within six months, over 300,000 song plays (MySpace and PureVolume), over 100,000 fans, contact with nationally recognized recording artists and Hollywood celebrities, with the indie record label establishing contact with major record labels.

The artist spencerlane disbanded in January 2007, and daylight saints went on indefinite hiatus in December 2007, marking the close of a very exciting chapter in my life.

RaiBot

The history of RaiBot is vast, with the first round of development starting on December 25, 2000 (written in Visual Basic 6), slowly moving into the the second phase of development in 2002 (written in C++ Win32 API), and going into seemingly indefinite hiatus in 2004. In 2009, a revision of the second version was released, removing its original purpose as a client for use on Battle.net servers.

In 2010, a decision was made to incorporate features from the private project detailed below, and the third phase of development began in April (written in C#). This project remains on hiatus in order to focus on career goals, and the official website is now a legal blog covering topics on media and entertainment, technology and communications, and energy and infrastructure to reflect this focus.
